Job Title: Manager Accounts

Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

location: Lahore, Pakistan (onsite)

Salary: Market Competative

Job Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the financial accounting and reporting activities of the company.

Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain financial integrity.

Prepare financial reports for the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Manage financial resources, staff performance, and overall accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare final accounts in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory and company requirements.
  • Establish and update accounting systems to align with current standards.
  • Coordinate the preparation of monthly production reports and reconciliations.
  • Income & Expense Management
  • Prepare and present daily, fortnightly, and monthly income and expense reports to MD and CEO.
  • Manage timely preparation of final accounts for external audits.
  • Oversee financial resource allocation and monitoring for operational needs.
  • Cash Flow & Payments
  • Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and report to MD and CEO.
  • Oversee and control all cash inflows and outflows across work sites.
  • Ensure timely payments to suppliers and monitor receivables/payables.
  • Taxation & Statutory Filings
  • Prepare and submit Sales Tax and Withholding Tax returns (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Deduct withholding tax at source per the Income Tax Ordinance 2001.
  • File annual employee income tax returns and submit SECP forms (Form 29, Form A).
  • Maintain National Tax Numbers (NTN) for company and employees.
  • Bank & Cash Management
  • Manage and reconcile all bank and cash transactions.
  • Track post-dated cheques and manage credit limit renewals with banks.
  • Legal & Regulatory Compliance
  • Handle property tax, professional tax, and other government levies.
  • Manage SECP-related matters and ensure corporate law compliance.
  • Prepare wealth tax statements for MD and CEO when required.
  • Process Improvement & System Management
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finance operations.
  • Maintain and enhance the company's ERP and Information Management System.
  • Staff Management & Development
  • Supervise departmental staff, delegate tasks, and manage leave and performance.
  • Coordinate with HRD for performance evaluations and salary increment recommendations.

Key Requirements:

  • Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Professional certifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred.

  • Experience

  • 5–7 years of accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial position

  • Skills

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.

  • Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Others

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
