Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Assistant Director – Audit to strengthen and oversee the internal audit function across our business divisions. As we continue to expand, we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity, regulatory compliance, risk management and operational transparency. This role is critical in ensuring effective internal controls, accountability and governance in alignment with the Group's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assist in developing and executing the annual internal audit plan for all business units within the Group.

·       Conduct risk-based audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, operational efficiency and compliance with policies and procedures.

·       Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, compliance issues and recommend practical solutions for improvement.

·       Prepare detailed audit reports with clear findings, risk implications and actionable recommendations.

·       Follow up on the implementation status of audit recommendations and report progress to senior management.

·       Collaborate with business unit heads to promote a culture of accountability, transparency and continuous improvement.

·       Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal policies across all operational areas.

·       Support fraud investigations, whistleblower inquiries and special reviews as assigned.

·       Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits, inspections or reviews.

·       Stay current with evolving audit methodologies, industry standards and regulatory changes to enhance the audit function's effectiveness.

Requirement:

·       A Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or a related discipline.

·       Professional certification such as CA, ACCA, CIA or CISA is strongly preferred.

·       Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in internal or external auditing, preferably in a diversified group, multinational corporation or regulated industry.

·       Proven track record in conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments or business units.

·       In-depth understanding of audit standards, accounting principles (e.g., IFRS) and risk-based audit methodologies.

·       Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and audit software/tools is highly desirable.

·       Strong analytical and investigative skills with the ability to interpret data and identify risk areas.

·       High level of integrity, objectivity and confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear, concise audit reports.

·       Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

·       Ability to manage multiple audits, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.

·       Willingness to travel to various business units or field offices as needed.

·       Fluent in English; proficiency in Urdu or other regional languages is a plus
