About the role:
The Network Administrator is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable
operation of computer networks within an organization. They ensure that network
infrastructure is up and running smoothly, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and implement
security measures to protect the network from potential threats. Additionally, they may be
involved in planning and implementing network upgrades or expansions.
Responsibilities
1. Network Maintenance and Monitoring:
• Monitor network performance and ensure uptime.
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, patches, and
hardware upgrades.
• Troubleshoot network issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and take necessary actions to
mitigate potential threats.
2. Network Configuration and Optimization:
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls,
and wireless access points.
• Optimize network performance by adjusting configurations and implementing
best practices.
• Implement Quality of Service (QoS) policies to prioritize network traffic
based on business needs.
3. Security:
• Implement and maintain network security measures such as firewalls,
intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
• Regularly update and patch security vulnerabilities to protect against cyber
threats.
• Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify and address potential
weaknesses in the network infrastructure.
4. User Support and Training:
• Provide technical support to end-users regarding network connectivity and
related issues.
• Assist in troubleshooting network-related problems reported by users.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users on network usage and best practices
for security.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and
procedures.
• Generate reports on network performance, security incidents, and compliance
with organizational policies.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve
network operations.
Position Requirements
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar
role.

control).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
