Job Overview:

As a Business Developer / Upwork Bidder, your main responsibility will be to generate sales and secure contracts for web development and digital marketing projects through Upwork, Freelancer, and other online freelance platforms. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, crafting tailored proposals, and ensuring successful project acquisition and long-term client relationships. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, on-site environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation: Drive new business by bidding on projects on Upwork, Freelancer, and similar platforms for web development, SEO, PPC, and digital marketing services.
  • Client Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with prospective clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Proposal Writing: Write clear, customized proposals and pitches for potential clients, showcasing your expertise in web development and digital marketing.
  • Lead Qualification: Research and identify potential leads, and follow up on outreach efforts to convert them into active clients.
  • Negotiation & Closing: Engage in sales negotiations and effectively close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay updated on the latest trends in web development and digital marketing to ensure our proposals are always competitive.
  • On-site Collaboration: Work closely with the development and marketing teams to ensure seamless delivery of services and client satisfaction.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the web development or digital marketing industry.
  • Proven experience in Upwork, Freelancer, or similar platforms for bidding and acquiring projects.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with a track record of closing sales.
  • Good understanding of web development technologies (e.g., WordPress, HTML, CSS, JS) and digital marketing strategies (SEO, SEM, PPC).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, lasting client relationships.
  • Target-oriented and motivated to achieve monthly and quarterly sales goals.
  • Ability to work in an on-site team environment and collaborate effectively with other departments.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and project management software.
  • Certifications in Digital Marketing, SEO, or Google Ads are a plus.
  • Experience with lead generation and client outreach strategies.
