Job Purpose

The Sr. Manager – Supply Chain Excellence & Back Process is responsible for end-to-end planning and execution of the back process portfolio, ensuring smooth integration between local and international business units. This includes overseeing material planning, production scheduling, inventory control, system enhancements, and cross-functional collaboration to improve OTIF performance, reduce order-to-dispatch cycle time, and optimize resource allocation. Back process being the 1st step towards OTIF delivery, has significant impact on Revenue, Bottom line and significant impact on Working capital

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direction in production planning for raw and semi-finished materials, ensuring efficient material flow and supply continuity across both local and international operations.
• Drive alignment between demand forecasts, MPS, MRP outputs, and capacity constraints to deliver optimized back-process production schedules that support business objectives.
• Standardize S&OP, planning templates, and performance tracking mechanisms for enhanced visibility.
• Define short-term and long-term supply chain optimization strategies, ensuring OTIF improvement and minimal stockouts.
• Oversee the Supply Planning Specialists and Executives, ensuring accurate and timely execution of production plans for Local and Export Back process.
• Approve production schedules, OT decisions, and material movement across plants/warehouses.
• Govern RM and SFG inventory levels through strategic planning, avoiding excess while maintaining service readiness and optimal working capital utilization.
• Lead capacity planning and ETO (ethylene oxide treatment) prioritization to maximize resource utilization.
• Identify bottlenecks, system inefficiencies, and wastage in supply chain workflows, driving Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.
• Steer digital transformation by automating planning dashboards, workflows, and reporting tools using SAP PP, Power BI, and advanced analytics.
• Monitor and reduce production waste, SLOBs (Slow Moving & Obsolete Inventory), and near-expiry stock losses.
• Implement digital initiatives such as AI-driven demand forecasting.
• Lead SAP PP/MM enhancements and ensure seamless integration with procurement, warehousing, and QA processes.
• Act as the primary escalation point for SAP PP Core User, ensuring quick issue resolution and data integrity in SAP.
• Collaborate with IT to deploy intelligent automation, including digital work orders, automated MRP runs, and live production tracking capabilities.
• Monitor forecast compliance, OTIF, production adherence, and inventory coverage KPIs monthly.
• Generate forward-looking insights on capacity utilization, material shortages, and demand trends to inform strategic planning and risk mitigation.
• Track and analyze Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), by-products, and yield variance metrics to minimize financial losses.
• Act as the key interface between Planning, Procurement, Production, QA, Warehousing, IT, and Logistics to ensure smooth operations.
• Train and mentor Supply Planning Specialists, Executives, and SAP Core Users to improve overall competency and system adoption.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to enhance demand fulfillment accuracy.

Skill Requirement

• Strategic supply chain planning with expertise in production planning, MRP, inventory control, and S&OP integration.
• Advanced data analytics and process optimization skills, including forecast accuracy tracking, production efficiency analysis, and KPI reporting.
• Stakeholder management and collaboration across procurement, production, QA, IT, and warehouse teams.
• Strong leadership and decision-making ability, fostering a high-performance culture within the team.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving continuous improvement and change management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Advanced), SAP (PP/MM), Power BI, and ERP-driven reporting tools.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's / master's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration
  .
• Certifications in
  APICS (CSCP/CPIM), Lean Six Sigma, or PMP
  are preferred.
