The
Service Engineer
will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of UPS systems and related power infrastructure, as well as supporting data center installation and commissioning projects. This role demands strong technical skills, analytical problem-solving ability, accurate reporting, and a commitment to high service quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

UPS Repair & Troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and repair faults in UPS and associated battery banks.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, load testing, battery health checks and firmware updates.
  • Analyze and resolve electrical, electronic and power-related issues.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or OEM support teams when required.

Data Center Installation & Commissioning

  • Install and configure UPS systems, power distribution, server racks and monitoring system.
  • Support the setup of monitoring systems for power and environmental parameters.
  • Conduct pre-installation site surveys and verify installation compliance with technical drawings and standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, vendors and customers for smooth execution.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate service logs, job sheets and maintenance records.
  • Prepare detailed fault analysis and service reports with recommendations for improvements.
  • Document installation processes and update as-built drawings where necessary.

Customer Support & Communication

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers.
  • Train customer personnel in basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain professional relationships and ensure customer satisfaction through timely resolution of issues.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 2–4 years' hands-on experience in UPS repair and power systems maintenance.
  • Familiarity with battery technologies (VRLA, Lithium).
  • Experience with data center infrastructure installation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
