Electrical Power Engineer Role

The primary responsibility of this role is to conceptualize and design electrical power generation and distribution systems, encompassing utility/grid systems, switchgear, MCCs, and all relevant protective measures. This includes the creation of detailed engineering documents and drawings, as well as conducting system studies utilizing ETAP software.

In addition, the successful candidate will perform load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient studies, and relay coordination studies to ensure seamless operation of these systems. They will also be responsible for developing specifications and data sheets for engine/turbine driven generators, transformers, substation equipment, switchgear/MCCs, UPS, cables, grounding, and lightning systems.

A strong understanding of ETAP Software, DIALux, and Calculux is essential for this position. The ideal candidate will have a BSc./MSc. in Electrical Engineering, 5-10 years of experience in FEED & Detail Engineering in the Oil and Gas Sector, and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel), AutoCAD.

The key responsibilities of this role include designing uninterrupted power supply systems, performing lighting calculations and illumination studies, preparing estimates for bid proposals, delivering electrical power engineering services that meet client requirements, and creating clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses.
