Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Experienced Medical Coder based in Islamabad. The Medical Coder will be responsible for reviewing clinical statements and assigning standard codes using CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II classification systems. Day-to-day tasks include ensuring accurate code assignment, verifying coded data, collaborating with healthcare providers for documentation accuracy, managing coding-related issues, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding
  • Experience with medical billing processes, including claims processing and denial management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in code assignment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work independently and manage coding-related issues effectively
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or related field preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical coding software
