About Sally:

Sally is an AI-powered platform built to transform how businesses hire, scale, and operate using intelligent automation and advanced language models. We're on a mission to revolutionize recruitment, workflows, and decision-making by blending AI, data, and intuitive product design.

We're at the ground-zero stage of our journey, and we're looking for a Founding Engineer who's excited to build from scratch, solve complex problems, and shape the future of Sally from day one.

Role Overview:

As the Founding Engineer, you will be the technical backbone of our product. You'll work directly with the founders to design and ship scalable, production-ready software — from backend systems and APIs to frontend interfaces and AI integrations. This is not a typical engineering role — it's an opportunity to build a company alongside its founders, own key technical decisions, and grow into a future CTO or tech lead role.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, build, and scale Sally's core product architecture (frontend, backend, and infrastructure).

Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and AI/LLM tools into real-world, user-facing solutions.

Rapidly prototype new features and iterate based on user feedback.

Set up CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Work closely with product and design to turn ideas into seamless user experiences.

Contribute to technical strategy, product direction, and long-term roadmap.

Help build the early engineering culture and mentor future hires.

Requirements:

3–6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role.

Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, , Python, or similar modern backend languages.

Experience with React, , or Vue for frontend development.

Strong database skills (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or equivalent).

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Exposure to or interest in AI/LLMs, automation tools, and APIs.

Startup mindset — ability to work autonomously, ship fast, and wear multiple hats.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
