Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager Planning and Business support will facilitate end to end management of New Business Requirements, whether or not can be addressed with existing network resources, by strengthening coordination among Business, Engineering, Technical, and Support teams to facilitate timely feasibility assessments. As the demand for innovative products and services continues to grow and network resources are limited, quick and well-informed decisions are critical to capitalize high-impact business opportunities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of network infrastructure, telecom technologies, and business operations.
  • Proactive market insight and industry awareness to actively contribute to business growth and product development initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison among Business, Engineering, Technical, and support teams to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment.
  • Support and facilitate timely evaluation of new business requirements by coordinating across relevant stakeholders and converting ideas into actionable, technically feasible solutions that align with company's objectives.
  • Contribute meaningful suggestions and ideas to address gaps in solution development and help create better and more innovative ways to meet business needs.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to support business needs.
  • Ensure Solution team has full clarity before technical solution preparation.
  • Follow up on ROI, maintaining SLA compliance, and facilitating timely preparation and submission of the final proposal for management decision-making.
  • Conduct and manage risk and compliance activities, including assessment, mitigation, training, and coordination with relevant teams to ensure effective prevention and resolution of issues.
  • Monitor, track, and report on project progress against defined or mutually agreed SLAs, ensuring transparency, accountability, and timely identification of risks or deviations for quick corrective action.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:

  • In principle must have a minimum of Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering/Telecommunications/Business/Management

Work Experience

  • Preferably up-to 4 years experience with relevant exposure & expertise

  • Business Acumen with an understanding of telecom operations.
  • Practical experience in managing business-related new requirements will be considered an added advantage.
  • Awareness of System Inter-dependencies and their impact on solution design·
  • Requirements Gathering & Documentation·
  • Proficiency in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements·
  • Effective Project Management & Time Management skills·
  • Cross-functional coordination and stakeholder engagement across multiple departments. Strong presentation and report-writing skills.
