About the Role: Hirestaff.ai is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our client's team. This role will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to property accounting, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with real estate financial regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in property accounting, a solid understanding of real estate financial principles, and excellent analytical skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading US-based firm and gain valuable experience in the real estate sector.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting functions related to property accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for various properties.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial transactions related to property management.
• Monitor rent collections, lease agreements, and tenant billing to ensure proper revenue recognition.
• Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and forecasting for property portfolios.
• Reconcile bank statements, escrow accounts, and other financial records related to real estate transactions.
• Work closely with property managers and stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies and provide accurate financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and real estate financial reporting requirements.
• Utilize property management and accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.

Required Skills & Traits:

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in property accounting, real estate finance, or a related field. Experience working with US-based clients is a plus.
• Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of property accounting principles, financial reporting, and real estate financial operations.
• Software Proficiency: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify financial discrepancies and provide solutions.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring high accuracy in financial records and reports.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, property managers, and financial stakeholders.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and handle high-volume transactions efficiently.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively with international teams, considering time zone differences with the US.
