Backend Developer – Telecom

We're looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our team and help build a GSMA TS.43-compliant Entitlement Server for RCS activation. You'll work on high-scale backend APIs, authentication flows (OAuth2, EAP-AKA), and telecom integrations (AAA, HSS/UDM).

Core Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Entitlement Configuration Service using Java (Spring Boot) or Go.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs for token exchange, session management, and Entitlement Configuration Service-Google integrations.
  • Implement secure authentication flows (JWT issuance/validation, token lifecycle management).
  • Integrate with external protocol libraries (e.g., Diameter client, EAP handlers) under telecom consultant guidance.
  • Handle state management for short-lived authentication tokens, replay protection, and secure session storage.
  • Optimise system for low latency, high throughput, and telecom-grade reliability.
  • Ensure TLS/mTLS security across all communication channels.
Qualifications
  • Strong command of Java (Spring Boot) or Go.
  • Hands-on with REST API design, JSON/XML parsing, JWT handling.
  • Solid understanding of secure authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, SAML, PKI).
  • Experience working with protocol adapters or third-party libraries (Preferred exposure to Diameter, RADIUS, or SIP stacks).
  • Strong debugging skills using Wireshark, tcpdump, or protocol analyzers.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis).
