Position: Senior Officer Information Technology - OMC

Location: Islamabad

Reporting to: Manager BSS Operations

Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

  • To ensure availability of IT Billing & Charging system through excellent monitoring approach (proactive/reactive), efficient troubleshooting, diagnosis of incidents and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders for resolution of their issues.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring the performance and capacity of BSS systems
  • Identifying hardware, software, and environmental alerts or malfunctions and determining the cause of the incident/problem
  • Troubleshooting the problem that affects the IT services and resolving it within the defined SLA
  • Coordinating with vendors and IT internal customers
  • Tracking and documenting all issues and resolutions in detail
  • Escalating complex incidents/problems to the management
  • Ensuring effective communication both internally externally, to keep all stakeholders aware of relevant, known issues and the steps that are being taken to solve them
  • Ensuring IT Trouble tickets, locked via CSP portal, are properly responded as per agreed SLA
  • Daily Reconciliation of HLR vs BOSS, Mediation In stream vs Out Stream, Bank Reconciliation (One link vs BOSS)

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science
  • Candidates with MS degree having working experience in specialized field would be preferred
  • Certifications in relevant domain would also be preferred

Work Experience:

  • Preference will be given to candidates with at least 1+ years of hands-on experience in Telecom IT billing / CRM /OCS operations

  • Scripting: Unix shell & PL/SQL skills
  • SDLC & SW Engineering
  • Knowledge of Telecom IT infrastructure and applications

  • Multi-tasking ability to work under pressure
