Job Summary:
The Pre-Sales Engineer will act as the technical expert and trusted advisor on Hikvision cutting-edge commercial displays, video walls and SMD LED screen solutions. You will partner closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and craft compelling solutions that demonstrate the value of our product portfolio. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in LED display technology and excellent communication skills to help bridge the gap between intricate technical details and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Needs Assessment:
- Collaborate with sales teams to engage directly with prospects, gathering technical requirements and understanding customer business objectives.
- Technical Presentations & Demonstrations:
- Prepare and deliver engaging, in-depth demonstrations and presentations that clearly communicate the features, benefits, and competitive edge of our commercial displays and SMD LED screens.
- Customized Solution Design:
- Develop technical proposals—including solution architectures, proof of concepts, and bills of materials—that align with customer needs while considering cost-effectiveness and scalability.
- RFP/RFI Response:
- Respond to technical aspects of customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs), ensuring that proposals meet both the operational and financial requirements of prospective clients.
- Internal Collaboration:
- Work closely with engineering, product management, and after-sales support teams for feedback and continuous improvement of our display products and services.
- Competitive & Market Analysis:
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of competing technologies and market trends, providing insights to sales and product development teams to sharpen our competitive positioning.
- Training & Support:
- Conduct technical training sessions for both the sales team and customers, and provide post-sales technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and a smooth product rollout.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field. Additional technical certifications in LED technologies or display systems are a plus.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2–4 years' experience in a pre-sales engineering role—preferably within the digital signage, commercial display, or LED screen sector.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of commercial display systems, SMD LED screen design, and associated technologies (such as resolution, brightness management, pixel pitch optimization, color calibration, and thermal management). Hands-on experience with demo systems, simulation software, and integration projects is highly valued.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be adept at simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders while also providing in-depth details for technical audiences.
- Problem-Solving & Customer Focus:
- A proactive approach in anticipating customer challenges and a creative mindset in devising timely, accurate solutions that align both with technical and business drivers.
- Travel & Flexibility:
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, on-site demonstrations, and industry events as required.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports directly to the Head of Technical.
