Position Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory management, forecasting accuracy, collaborating closely with various teams including supply chain, sales, trading and finance to develop and implement demand forecasting strategies that meet customer demands.

Job Description

  • Utilise historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to accurately forecast demand.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to understand upcoming promotions, seasonal trends, and special events and incorporate this information into demand forecasts identify areas for improvement.
  • Possess commercial knowledge to make adhoc reports and provide detailed analysis.
  • Collaborate closely with sales teams, stock managers, category managers, promotional and marketing teams to gather market intelligence, customer feedback, and sales projections to inform demand forecasts and inventory management decisions.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of inventory levels and trends across all business units to identify opportunities for optimisation, focusing on minimising excess stock while avoiding stockouts.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy metrics and KPIs for demand flowing through all depots, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning processes, tools, and methodologies for promotional and seasonal demand forecasting to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with promotional and seasonal demand forecasting, such as supply chain disruptions, market fluctuations, and unforeseen changes in promotional plans or consumer behavior.

Experience and Qualification

  • BBA preferably in Finance / Supply Chain.
  • 03 to 06 years of relevant experience.

Specific Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Fluent in spoken English.
  • Practical knowledge of MS BI to pull out reports.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable to work onsite from 12 p.m to 9 p.m.
