We are seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with 2 years of experience in Ruby on Rails (RoR) and Next.js, who is comfortable working with both front-end and back-end development. You will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications, ensuring responsiveness, and collaborating with design teams to deliver robust features.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new web applications using Ruby on Rails and Next.js.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing applications.
  • Write and maintain clean, reliable code.
  • Develop and maintain back-end components.
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks and bugs.
  • Integrate user-facing elements designed by the front-end team.
  • Connect applications with additional web servers.
  • Build and maintain APIs.

Skills:

  • Experience:
    • 2 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and Next.js.
    • Familiarity with other common libraries/frameworks.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Good understanding of Ruby/JavaScript syntax and nuances.
    • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
    • Familiarity with MVC, Mocking, ORM, and RESTful APIs.
    • Proficient in front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
    • Basic knowledge of server-side templating languages and CSS preprocessors like Sass/Less.
    • Familiarity with development tools such as Webpacker, Babel, and Redis.
  • Problem-Solving:
    • Ability to identify and resolve bottlenecks in code.
    • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into a single system.
  • Version Control:
    • Proficient in Git and other version control tools.
  • Testing:
    • Familiarity with automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Other Skills:
    • Understanding of fundamental design principles for scalable applications.
    • Ability to design database schemas to support business processes.
    • Familiarity with continuous integration tools.
