We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives for our hospice services across the U.S. market. This role is responsible for developing referral relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and increasing census by promoting the organization's hospice programs to physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other referral sources.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify & Develop Referral Sources: Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, case managers, hospital discharge planners, SNFs, ALFs, and home health agencies.
  2. Census Growth: Drive patient admissions through outreach, education, and relationship management, aligning with monthly and quarterly growth targets.
  3. Market Intelligence: Conduct regular market analysis to identify trends, competitor activities, and new growth opportunities.
  4. Sales Presentations: Deliver professional presentations and value-based education about hospice services to healthcare professionals and community groups.
  5. Lead Management: Track and follow up on all referrals, inquiries, and potential leads using CRM or EMR tools.
  6. Collaborate Internally: Work with clinical liaisons, intake coordinators, and leadership to ensure smooth onboarding of patients and excellent customer service.
  7. Compliance: Maintain knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and state-specific hospice regulations to ensure appropriate messaging and outreach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of sales or business development experience in healthcare; hospice or palliative care industry preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals in a B2B healthcare environment.

  • Knowledge of CMS hospice regulations and Medicare benefit structure is a plus
