Grade: Contract-based position.

Location: Islamabad, Pakistan (Hybrid).

About the Role:

The person will be responsible for timely and accurate financial accounting and reporting of Telenor Pakistan and its subsidiaries in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and processes.

Your Impactful Goals will include:

  • Ensure compliance with Group/Local Policies and IFRS.
  • Ensure all transactional accounting is processed accurately and timely, in line with applicable standards and policies.
  • Lead and contribute to projects for simplification and modernization of financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency.
  • Implement controls to ensure the authenticity and quality of financial statements.

Your Typical Day will look like:

  • Provide financial and accounting advisory on complex matters and new business streams in line with IFRS and Group policies.
  • Review and improve current processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial reporting.
  • Manage audit coordination with external and internal auditors.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on financial results.
  • Prepare monthly and consolidated management accounts.

What we're looking for:

Education: ACCA, CA finalist, or Masters/Bachelor in Finance.

Certification(s): Finance or Accounting.

Work experience: 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to learn, implement new ideas, and lead improvement projects.
  • Ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Handle heavy workload effectively and efficiently.

  • Expertise in technical accounting aligned with standards and best practices.
  • Understanding of large entity business processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting financial data.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of complex data.
