Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Data Centre Facility Operations Technician to manage electrical, cooling, fire detection, and suppression systems.

Qualification & ExperienceEssential:
  • DAE (Electrical / IT) from a recognized technical board.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Centre operations, specifically in electrical and cooling systems.
Desirable:
  • Bachelor's degree / B.Tech (Electrical / IT) from an HEC-recognized university.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in Data Centre operations, including electrical, cooling, fire detection, and suppression systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor Data Centre equipment such as UPS, electrical panels, and cooling systems both physically and online.
  • Troubleshoot and repair infrastructure issues.
  • Support installation of new IT equipment, ensuring rack space, power, and cooling are adequate.
  • Handle critical alarms related to electrical, cooling, and fire systems promptly.
  • Respond to emergencies like power outages or hardware failures.
  • Work in shifts including weekends, evenings, nights, and on-call to ensure 24/7 operations.
Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesEssential:
  • Technical knowledge of Data Centre electrical and cooling systems.
  • Ability to handle critical alarms of electrical systems, UPS, and PDUs.
Desirable:
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Data Centre electrical and cooling systems.
  • Experience in handling alarms and rectifying issues in electrical, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
Training/CertificationEssential:
  • Training in Data Centre electrical and cooling systems.
Desirable:
  • Training in fire detection and suppression systems.
