Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified professional to handle operations of Data Centre facilities, focusing on electrical, cooling, and fire detection & suppression systems.

Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
  • DAE (Electrical) from a recognized technical board.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in Data Centre operations related to electrical, cooling, and fire systems.
Desirable:
  • BE / B.Tech / BS (Electrical) from HEC-recognized university.
  • 5 years of relevant experience in Data Centre operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring and maintaining electrical, cooling, and fire suppression systems.
  • Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
  • Supporting troubleshooting and emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Maintaining accurate logs and documentation for audits.
  • Supporting infrastructure expansion, installation, and commissioning.
  • Ensuring safety protocols and operational standards are followed.
  • Coordinating with vendors and contractors during maintenance.
  • Working in shifts, including weekends, evenings, nights, and on-call duties to ensure 24/7 operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Essential:
  • Technical knowledge of Data Centre electrical and cooling systems.
  • Ability to handle critical alarms of electrical panels, UPS, cooling units, fire detection & suppression systems.
  • Ability to read engineering schematics and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
Desirable:
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Data Centre systems.
  • Experience in handling alarms and rectification for electrical panels, UPS, cooling, and fire systems.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Training/Certification:Essential:
  • Training in Data Centre electrical or cooling systems.
Desirable:
  • Additional training in fire detection and suppression systems.

  • Candidates must attach scanned copies of academic and professional documents.
  • Degree certificates must be attested/verified by HEC.
  • Candidates with less than one year of service at NUST or without an NOC may be ineligible.
  • Ineligible candidates include those with low academic performance or those in the process of obtaining required degrees.
