The Division

Friedman Corporation develops enterprise computing solutions for the discrete, To-Order Manufacturer. Friedman's advanced multi-platform technology and modular application design support customized enterprise-wide solutions to meet the unique requirements of the to-order manufacturer.

The Position

The division is looking for a talented Senior Software Developer – RPG with strong expertise in Frontier ERP Specialist. This position requires strong collaboration skills when working with business analysts to understand and translate business processes and requirements into documented technical requirements. Professionalism, strong analytical, organization /prioritization, oral, and written communications skills are required.

Job Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and support RPGLE business applications.
• Work with business analysts to translate business processes into technical specs.
• Deliver clean, tested, and documented code with minimal rework
• Support and troubleshoot existing systems.
• Produce on-time deliverables with minimal rework and reported issues.
• Able to learn maintenance of server infrastructure on Windows.
• Able to contribute to the enhancement of code quality.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve software defects and issues.
  
  

Essential Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, or related field.
• MUST HAVE prior experience with the Frontier ERP system or a similar manufacturing ERP.
• Strong experience with IBM iSeries: RPG IV, ILE RPG, SQL, DDS, CLLE
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills.
