Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in outbound B2B sales (SDR, BDR, or Business Development roles). Demonstrable SaaS sales experience (essential).
The Business Development Representative will be responsible for telephone and email prospecting; qualifying and processing marketing leads for the sales team; generating summarized reports of their key findings, as well as identifying and closing incremental opportunities. This individual will be an enthusiastic team player with exceptional phone communication skills, able to understand different buying personas, position and communicate the value of developer tools products, and persuade new business prospects to learn more. This individual will be responsible for working as part of a team to support the Account Executives in prospecting and building a pipeline of qualified leads to meet business plans, quotas, and company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Reach out to prospects via telephone and email to qualify leads.
- Prospect into the SMB customer accounts to identify incremental sales.
- Create new opportunities for incremental sales in CRM and work the deal to closure.
- Navigate through a conversation flow to uncover business needs, and position the client as a compelling solution.
- Maintain and update an accurate log of activity in CRM (this includes call activity, call notes, and emails).
- Conveys summarized key findings from phone conversations with the rest of the Marketing team to help refine marketing communications.
- The role may involve a high volume of outbound calls.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
