METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012, METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale businesses in Pakistan, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to the mutual benefit of both companies. The merger allowed them to combine resources and gain the financial strength to lead and grow in a challenging environment, generating value for customers and suppliers alike. Today, the company operates 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, the international leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates more than 750 stores across 25 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, with a workforce of over 107,000 employees. Sales in 2016/17 were approximately 37 billion Euro.

Job Description
  • Achieve sales targets as per given goals.
  • Meet margin KPIs by creating profitable customer baskets.
  • Expand customer portfolio by acquiring new customers.
  • Increase average sales turnover per customer.
  • Generate incremental sales by adding articles across departments like dry food, DST, S&C, which carry good margins.
  • Represent a positive image to customers through deep understanding of the business, METRO selling skills, and excellent customer service.
  • Continuously enhance market and competitor knowledge to adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Maintain customer files and perform customer analysis before visits.
  • Plan sales activities and analyze buying trends prior to customer visits, including setting objectives and defining action plans.
  • Visit at least one competitor monthly and follow-up as needed.
  • Prepare feasibility studies of business solutions, plan weekly activities based on portfolio priorities, and organize follow-ups during visits or via phone. Conduct store immersion.
Qualifications

Bachelors or Intermediate with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
