Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Ensure that all websites and internet properties under your influence have been technically optimized to attract and engage those visitors that closely match the agreed profile of the target audience.
  2. Build systems and protocols internally that ensure all content is optimized across all platforms and user experiences (websites, mobile, social, video, blogs, retail portals, etc).
  3. Continually monitor organic search rankings to increase traffic and sales.
  4. Use various web tools to track site traffic, rankings, and ultimately sales.
  5. Identify and implement required strategies for increasing site traffic through organic search listings without being blacklisted.
  6. Research and resolve HTML code and content, link architecture, and navigation issues.
  7. Assist in layout of web pages when required.
  8. Analyze website strategies and translate qualitative or anecdotal data into recommendations and tactics for revising the strategies.
  9. Create and review regular sales reports for various online sites and promotions.
  10. Research keywords using Google, Overture, WordTracker, and internal tools.
  11. Conduct research and strategic planning for paid and natural search campaigns.
  12. Stay abreast of (and share) changes in search engine signals and market share.
  13. Interact with copywriter and web service manager to optimize copy and landing pages for Search Engine Marketing.
  14. Research and analyze competitor advertising links.

Job Specification

Education and Qualification:

  1. Graduation Degree preferably in Computer Science, business, advertising, marketing, communications or related subjects.
  2. Excellent Internet and computer skills.
  3. Have a thorough knowledge of online marketing, search ranking factors, and critical updates.
  4. Clear understanding of SEO, affiliate marketing, and pay-per-click advertising.
  5. Proficient in the use of Internet Explorer and other browsers, with knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel.

  1. Excellent communication skills.
  2. Self-directed when confronted with support issues.
  3. Experienced in managing a team of content writers, link builders, and social media marketers.
  4. Ability to work under pressure.
  5. Ability to manage details, overall flexibility, and efficient work habits.
  6. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize daily work efficiently.
  7. Demonstrate a proactive work ethic when managing numerous competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last-minute changes.
  9. Proficient in HTML, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  10. Comfortable working with APIs, advanced and integrated reporting.
