Infection Control Nurse

Responsibilities:
- Identify and monitor infections that may pose a health concern to patients, staff, students, and the public and recommend actions to manage and prevent them.
- Effectively collaborate with all departments to plan and execute infection control actions.
- Implement the International Patient Safety Goals (IPSG) to ensure patient safety.
- Identify and monitor specific infections, conduct targeted surveillance, and investigate outbreaks as directed by the Infection Control Committee.
- Make rounds of hospital units for monitoring of infection control practice and patient care issues.
- Educate departments and individuals on infection control practices.
- BSc Nursing preferably with 2 years' experience as Infection Control Nurse.
- Knowledge of Infection prevention, healthcare-associated infection and infectious diseases.
- Candidates having a diploma or training in Infection Control will be preferred.
