General Summary:

This Software Program Manager position, focused on Chipset SW teams, is responsible for program management support and leadership in planning, development, and delivery of software across multiple technology areas and product segments for Qualcomm.

  • Opportunity to work on cutting-edge software and hardware technologies.
  • Collaborate with technology areas such as HLOS, BSP, Modem, Connectivity, and Multimedia, as well as with Product Managers, Hardware Engineering, and Business teams.
  • Drive requirements scoping, analysis, planning, including managing interdependencies, staffing constraints, and schedule optimization across tech teams and customers.
  • Establish clear plans of record and drive prioritization.
  • Maintain strong technical understanding of software deliverables, risk management, and mitigation.
  • Implement rigorous execution discipline and communication processes, including risk management, tracking, schedule management, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Develop indicators to monitor program health, quality, and timelines.
  • Partner with functional areas to establish processes supporting disciplined product development and decision-making, with coordination across multiple sites if necessary.
  • Streamline development cycles through effective process development and integration of plans and dependencies.
Skills & Experience:
  • Experience and domain knowledge of Wireless/Semiconductors/Embedded software is essential.
  • 10-15 years of experience in software product development and program management within the semiconductor/wireless industry.
  • Experience with end-to-end product integration and managing software products throughout their development lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of Program Management or related experience.
