JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant, Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) supports the MEAL Officer in implementing the work plan and enhancing program quality. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, field monitoring, assessments, and surveys.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Promote Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards.
  • Contribute to the organization's positive image and credibility.
  • Use data collection tools for qualitative and quantitative data at various levels.
  • Support database development and management.
  • Implement monitoring and evaluation activities, including surveys and assessments.
  • Perform data entry and quality audits.
  • Support gender analyses and data translation.
  • Ensure disaggregated data collection for vulnerable groups.
  • Conduct data quality audits and sampling as appropriate.
  • Collect and review qualitative and quantitative data, perform cleaning and validation.
  • Assist in mobile data collection and develop tools.
  • Use basic visualization techniques for data presentation.
  • Promote internal learning and document lessons learned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Diploma in social sciences, international development, or related field, with experience in MEAL.
    • 1+ years experience in data collection and entry in humanitarian contexts.
    • Understanding of monitoring and evaluation concepts.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
    • Experience with mobile data collection tools.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
    • Knowledge of local context and data collection methods.
    • English proficiency at a medium level; high proficiency in the mission's language.
