The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities.

The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The Department has 115 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency and fellowship programmes are integrated into the academic functions of the department.

Responsibilities:

The appointee will have an independent consultant status and undertake undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research and specified administrative activities.

Requirements:

The appointee must have completed a structured post-graduate training programme from a reputable institution and possess FCPS, FRCS, American Board or equivalent qualification.Candidates with post residency fellowship in Otology/ Rhinology/ Head & Neck Surgery & Reconstruction from a reputable institute will be preferred.

Applicants for Assistant Professor should have at least two years' experience as Senior Instructor or equivalent. In addition, they should have demonstrated scholarship through research, publications, and/or contribution to education.
