Description:
The incumbent will spearhead the development, design, and execution of a comprehensive training programme for over 250 principals in Upper and Lower Sindh. The focus will be on catering to the diverse needs of staff across all formal schools, including flagship and partnership schools, by utilizing research on best training practices and adapting them to TCF's context. Responsibilities include determining modes and frequency of professional development, developing differentiated support for teachers, school leaders, and field management teams, and establishing mechanisms for training needs analysis, content development, and training delivery or trainer preparation.
- Develop and review training materials specifically for the professional development of principals in Upper and Lower Sindh.
- Create a professional development strategy/roadmap tailored to different cohorts based on delivery medium, expertise, tenure, performance, and program rollout.
- Lead the redesign and support the execution of TCF's core training programmes: PRESET and summer INSET for teachers and principals.
- Design and develop quality training materials and resources to meet varying needs.
- Pilot and explore various training delivery options, including virtual, cascade, and direct methods suitable for TCF's network.
- Define and explore the role of technology in delivering effective training and professional development workshops.
- Build capacity within the team to become effective trainers and design thinkers.
- Oversee the development and implementation of teacher competency assessments, such as Teacher Content Knowledge testing.
- Collaborate with relevant departments on the design, execution, and evaluation of training programmes.
Required Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & Urdu
- Excellent interpersonal, project management, and team management skills
- Experience in designing training modules, applying design thinking, and conducting in-person and online training sessions
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
- Knowledge of teaching practices
- Reflective thinking skills
- Passion for working with under-served communities
Education:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred, especially in Education, Humanities, or Social Sciences.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience, preferably in teaching or professional development.
