We are looking for a Business Development Expert with proven experience in utilizing online freelance platforms such as Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer. This role involves driving business growth by identifying profitable projects, crafting compelling proposals, managing client relationships, and enhancing our presence on these platforms. The candidate will work with a dynamic team, using technical tools to track progress, refine bidding strategies, and ensure high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bid Management & Proposal Development:
- Identify relevant, high-value projects on Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer based on criteria like budget, timeline, reviews, and skills.
- Develop customized, persuasive proposals tailored to each project, utilizing platform-specific features such as Upwork Connects, Fiverr Gig Extras, and Freelancer Contests.
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously, ensuring prompt responses and high success rates.
- Use AI, machine learning, and automation tools (e.g., Upwork's Smart Proposals, Fiverr's Gig Promotion, Freelancer's Project Bidding Automation) to optimize bidding and client targeting.
- Client Communication & Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain positive client relationships through professional communication, managing expectations, and delivering solutions on time.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, clarify requirements, and provide updates to keep projects on track.
- Manage client accounts from initial contact to project completion, ensuring smooth communication and timely delivery.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) for task coordination.
- Track client interactions, milestones, and feedback using CRM software like HubSpot or Salesforce.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, and project management on Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer.
- Successful track record in writing winning proposals, securing projects, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Familiarity with platform-specific processes like Upwork Connects, Fiverr Gig Extras, and Freelancer's Project Bidding.
- Technical proficiency with platform management tools and automation (Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer).
- Experience with CRM tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar for lead and client management.
- Knowledge of project management platforms (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com).
- Basic SEO skills to optimize profiles, proposals, and gig pages for search visibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a freelancer or within a freelance agency on Upwork, Fiverr, and Freelancer.
- Advanced knowledge of SEO, content marketing, or digital marketing strategies.
- Experience with online marketing tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to enhance visibility and bidding success.
- Background in tech, web development, graphic design, or other niche freelance services is a plus.
