Support Engineer

We immediately require a Support Engineer, graduate from reputable universities and having good communication skills with at least 2-3 years of related professional experience.

The responsibilities would include the following:

  1. Provide technical support and assistance to internal networks and existing employees.
  2. Work across organization from time-to-time, to solve complex issues and follow reported problems through to their resolution.
  3. Respond to employees inquiries.
  4. Identify and resolve routine operational systems problems.
  5. Install and operate LAN, WAN and dial access services for operations.
  6. Manage project, plan and implement systems maintenance and administration.
  7. Troubleshoot networks and systems.
Job Specification

Skills Required:

  1. Software house experience
  2. Excellent English written and verbal skills
  3. Excellent phone manners
  4. MCSE Certified, CCNA (good to have)
  5. Firm grasp of how the web works, networking, and software products
  6. Taking ownership of technical issues, and working with our Development teams to resolve more advanced issues when necessary
  7. Resolving escalated user complaints without the need for team lead intervention
  8. Documenting troubleshooting and problem resolution steps
  9. Participation in educating network customers as required
  10. Knowledge of Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7, Linux and general desktop support issues
  11. Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, Domain Environment, Firewalls and other networking concepts
  12. Solid knowledge of internet protocols such as SSH, FTP, SFTP & HTTP
  13. Ability to use diagnostic tools such as trace route, ping, and dig
