We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Database Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in database development, optimization, and performance tuning across various relational database platforms. This role is critical for ensuring data accuracy, availability, and efficiency in supporting high-performing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functions

Design scalable and efficient database schemas based on application requirements

Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues related to query efficiency and resource usage

Implement best practices for database design, indexing, partitioning, and clustering

Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for seamless data integration and deployment

Assist in capacity planning, backup/recovery strategies, and disaster recovery setups

Perform routine database maintenance and data migrations as needed

Ensure high availability and data integrity through proactive monitoring and profiling tools

Skills & Qualifications:

Strong command of SQL and variations across relational databases such as SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL

Experience in optimizing large-scale, complex SQL queries and stored procedures

Solid understanding of database architecture, normalization, and indexing strategies

Familiarity with database engine configuration and cluster management

Ability to assess and plan resource requirements from system-level specifications

Proficient in troubleshooting performance issues and database bottlenecks

Hands-on experience with profiling tools for performance tuning (e.g., SQL Profiler, pgAdmin)

Proficiency in using version control systems such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN
