
Head of Business Strategy

We're seeking an entrepreneurial Head of Business Strategy and Growth/Head of Sales to drive go-to-market growth in healthcare and new verticals. You'll own strategy execution, build and lead a small commercial team, close enterprise deals, and identify expansion opportunities in multiple sectors.
What You'll Do
1. Strategy & Market Expansion
- Define and execute a business development roadmap for healthcare, plus adjacent sectors (e.g., finance, insurance)
- Research and prioritize new industry use cases where our AI platform can add value
2. New Business Growth
- Source, qualify, and close enterprise software deals in healthcare and secondary industries
- Lead demos, proofs-of-concept, and negotiate SaaS agreements to hit quarterly targets
3. Team Building & Leadership
- Recruit, mentor, and scale a team of SDRs and Marketing Specialists
- Establish clear KPIs, run performance reviews, and foster a high-velocity sales culture
4. Strategic Partnerships
- Forge integrations and co-sell deals with EHR/EMR, LIMS, and industry-specific platforms (e.g., core banking, trading systems)
- Cultivate relationships with key partners, investors, and thought leaders across verticals
5. AI-Powered Sales Excellence
- Leverage tools like Salesforce Einstein and Gong.ai for personalized outreach, pipeline forecasting, and upsell identification
- Continuously optimize playbooks based on data insights
6. Feedback & Product Alignment
- Gather competitive intelligence and customer feedback across industries
- Partner with Product and Marketing to tailor features and messaging for each vertical
7. Reporting & Representation
- Provide weekly pipeline updates and monthly forecasts to executive leadership
- Represent us at conferences, industry roundtables, and client events in healthcare and finance
What You'll Bring
- Proven Track Record: 10+ years in B2B sales or business development at tech-driven healthcare, fintech, or SaaS firms, consistently exceeding targets
- Cross-Industry Acumen: Comfort rapidly learning new verticals—healthcare plus sectors like banking, insurance, or manufacturing—and translating AI capabilities to each
- Technical Fluency: Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience positioning complex software solutions
- Leadership & Team-Building: Demonstrated ability to recruit, coach, and scale a commercial team in a startup environment
- Executive Presence: Experience engaging C-level and technical stakeholders; excellent negotiation and relationship skills
- Entrepreneurial Drive: Self-starter with a bias for action in fast-paced, high-growth contexts
Preferred:
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Life Sciences, or related field
- Prior success forming partnerships with industry-specific software vendors
