Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO)

This position starts in September 2025

Seeking an experienced SSHO who will maintain presence on job sites during construction operations in accordance with FAR guidance.
As a minimum the SSHO must have completed the OSHA 30-hour ConstructionSafety Outreach class within the past five (5) years and:
1. Seven (7) years of construction industry safety related experience.
2. OR have a safety and health degree from an accredited university orcollege and five (5) years of construction industry safety relatedexperience
3. OR hold as current, a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or aConstruction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification and three (3) years of construction industry safety related experience.

Candidate must meet the requirements of allapplicable OSHA standards and be capable (through training, experience,and qualifications) of ensuring that the requirements of 29 CFR 1926.16and other appropriate Federal, State and local requirements are met forthe project. (This will be discussed during job interview.)

Candidate shall have completed the OSHA 30-hour ConstructionSafety course and/or EM 385-1-1 40-hour training within the past 5years. In addition, all CPs with high hazard work operations (such asoperations involving asbestos, electrical, cranes, demolition, work atheights/fall protection, fire safety/life safety, ladder, rigging,scaffolds, and trenches/excavations) shall have a specialized formalcourse in the hazard recognition and control associated with those highhazard work operations. Documented "repeat" deficiencies in theexecution of safety requirements will require retaking the requisiteformal course.

Candidate must be a U.S. citizen who does not require sponsorship to work for any U.S. employer.
