Civil and Grounds, Facilities Management

Responsibilities

You are responsible for carrying out the repair and maintenance of teak works (jallies and I.D./Non-I.D furniture and fixtures). You will also perform minor carpentry work as advised by your supervisor at the AKUH main campus.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Repairing I.D. (Interior Décor) and Non-I.D. furniture as per dockets received from the Supervisor.
  • Carrying out the routine Planned Preventive Maintenance of door locks, door closers, door hardware, toilet wood items, fly screen, sink counter cabinet, etc.
  • Repairing Venetian Blinds as advised by the Supervisor.
  • Minor Project & Events works related to Carpentry.
  • Inspecting the work during PPM works.
  • Striving for continuous quality initiatives in relevant areas of responsibility for improvement.
  • Laying of pasting of carpet.
  • Cutting & fixing of looking & plain glass.
  • Assisting with electrical and mechanical work, related to carpentry assignments, such as pelmet removal, repair & replacement of wood items, platform in Cooling Tower, etc.
  • Any other related task as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Primary School (Matric preferred).
  • 10-12 years of related work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions in Urdu & English.
  • Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, as well as familiarity with woodworking machinery and tools.
  • Carpentry skills.
  • Respectful attitude towards supervisor and colleagues.
