Responsibilities

You are responsible for repairing, replacing, and making cushions with foam, rubber strips, fabric, and Rexene. Also, carrying out minor stitching works, etc at AKUH main campus.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for cushion making and repairing throughout the Complex as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Responsible for the repairing and replacing of the following items of chairs/sofas:
    • Rubber strip underneath the seat of the chair cushion
    • Foam of seat of chair
    • Fabric of chairs back and seat
    • Underside cloth of revolving chair
    • Screws under the seat of the chair
    • Cushion cover of a sofa set
    • Rexene of the revolving chair
    • Rexene of stretchers.
    • Velcro tape of the stretcher
    • Hand, head, and leg rests of O.R. i/c Doctors clothes
    • Beds cover and ring of the patient bed
    • Cushion/Rexene item of Sports Centre machines
  • To work extra hours, as and when required.
Requirements
  • Primary School preferred
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions in Urdu & English
  • Can read sketches and drawings
  • Making cushions and tailoring skills
