Responsibilities:
  1. Activate revenue & cost of sale strategy for assigned territory in line with regional manager.
  2. Be the ambassador of the Oman Air brand externally to all trade, corporate & government bodies in assigned territory.
  3. Deliver revenue and cost of sales revenue budgets for territory assigned.
  4. Take lead and activate proposed methods of ancillary revenue campaigns for assigned territory.
  5. Retain/increase market share on revenue and cultural shift of distribution model, reducing any impact to revenue for Oman Air in territory.
Area of ResponsibilityStrategic:
  1. Implement the revenue/cost of sale roadmap as instructed by regional manager in line with market conditions for assigned territory.
  2. Deliver on assigned budget & cost of sale metrics for the assigned territory.
  3. Identify territory market opportunities working with marketing to create a suitable marketing plan in line with strategic objectives assigned by regional manager.
  4. Analyze and provide feedback on territory market situation and competitor practices.
  5. Drive Oman Air's NDC implementation strategy in territory across all channels.
  6. Promote and initiate offers for direct sales to navigate towards direct distribution strategy (Web/NDC/Call Center/Mobile).
  7. Support establishing and maintaining relationships with key clients and partners within territory.
  8. Take lead in assigned territory concerning market communication to trade.
  9. Initiate changes to ancillary revenue opportunities to increase additional revenue streams for the territory.
Planning:
  1. Plan, organize, and coordinate sales calls to travel agents' corporate houses and government institutions.
  2. Create a territory sales plan to achieve assigned budget responsibility led with direct distribution roadmap.
  3. Provide regular market feedback to regional sales manager concerning pricing, distribution, and practices to improve efficiency & performance.
  4. Assist in facilitating local authorities and corporate standards for trading purposes.
Leadership:
  1. Act as the deputy to Regional Sales Manager as required.
  2. Guide, coach, and mentor the sales team in achieving sales performance and foster growth and development (if applicable).
Performance Management:
  1. Handle travel agency incentive program within territory and provide recommendations for improvements.
  2. Monitor BSP in assigned territory working with the business to administer any action.
  3. Perform any other tasks assigned by management.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, Travel & Tourism with 06 years of relevant work experience handling sales in the airline industry.
  • OR Diploma in a related field with 08 years of relevant work experience handling sales in the airline industry.
Special Skills & Knowledge:
  • Driven, pragmatic with a tenacity to increase revenue.
  • Commercial Acumen & Analytical skills.
  • Negotiation and Decision-making Skills.
  • Team player in a multicultural environment.
  • Cost and value conscious. Know how to "do more with less".
  • Proficiency in English (Reading & Writing), Arabic an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in IATA processes (preferred).
Business Understanding:

Excellent understanding of sales & commercials functions in the airline industry.
