IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

The position is responsible to design, develop, supervise and implement financial reporting requirements of the Board of the Directors (BOD), Audit Committee (AC), P&CEO and CFO with the objective to provide timely and accurate financial information for the decision-making process

Ensure standalone and Group Accounts are timely and accurately prepared in accordance with applicable International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and provisions and directives issued by Securities and Exchange commission of Pakistan (SECP), listing regulations, Code of Corporate Governance etc. and global reporting best practices.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

• Oversee timely preparation and finalization of standalone and consolidated financial statements of PTCL Group in accordance with IFRS, SECP directives, and best practices. Ensure quarterly, half-yearly, and annual statutory reporting as per listing regulations and Code of Corporate Governance. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, closing calendars, and accurate delivery of CFO and BoD/Audit Committee packs. Supervise preparation of reporting packs for e& address audit or financial reporting queries.
• Plan, organize, develop techniques and establish internal control mechanism to manage financial accounts. Responsible for defining and managing cost centers by breaking them down in business level units and profit centers. Manages all books of accounts and ledgers to ensure that they are complete, accurate, updated and reconciled. Manage the integrity and accuracy of financial ledgers including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable across PTCL Group. Supervise financial system configurations, master data management, and internal control mechanisms to ensure audit-ready financial data.
• Manage SAP-FI/CO user profiles, roles, and access authorization in accordance with the principle of least privilege. Ensure secure and updated maintenance of chart of accounts, vendor/customer master records, and controlling structures in SAP.
• Provide strategic financial inputs and performance dashboards to CFO, CEO, and Group Finance on a monthly basis. Ensure accurate and timely reporting packs to Board of Directors and Audit Committee. Serve as primary liaison for internal, external, and Etisalat auditors; ensure smooth audits and timely resolution of audit observations.
• Supervise payment authorization and ensure adherence to Delegation of Power (DoP) policies. Recommend optimal fund utilization strategies and secure investment opportunities to CFO. Support regional accounting teams and provide accounting guidelines across the organization. Deliver timely financial insights and support for corporate publications (e.g., PTCL Annual Report, Director's Reports, e& submissions, GoP correspondences).

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification:

• Chartered Accountant (ACA)
• Cost & Management Accountant (ACMA)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Competencies:

• Knowledge of government policies, company law, procedures, and regulations for accounting & ethics.
• Expert knowledge of Financial Accounting System.
• Strategic Financial Management.
