Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing planning, execution, and reporting while adhering to budget and Group Internal Audit standards. Explains identified risks to management, supports departmental activities, and manages relationships with senior auditee management and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Act as a team member on assigned audit work, primarily in Pakistan.
  2. Ensure audit work is executed efficiently, effectively, within budget and timelines, and in line with GIA standards.
  3. Manage relationships with senior auditee management and stakeholders.
  4. Support GIA audit teams with product/country knowledge and expertise.
  5. Provide continuous monitoring support to Heads of Audit and Senior Audit Managers, raising issues outside formal audits to expedite rectification.
  6. Present at formal committees and group meetings on behalf of HOAs and SAMs, e.g., Governance Committees.
  7. Ensure all audit issue action plans are tracked to completion.
  8. Remain independent and free from management interference, in line with the Audit Charter.
  9. Assist in managing audit costs within the allocated budget.
  10. Identify efficiencies within audit work.
  11. Participate as team member or leader for audits, including complex, cross-functional, high-risk audits.
  12. Ensure quality and timeliness of audit deliverables.
  13. Draft and contribute to audit scope documents and reports.
  14. Track implementation of issues and action plans, escalating unresolved findings.
  15. Engage proactively during team sessions and influence departmental improvements.
  16. Identify growth areas at the start of audits and discuss development strategies.
  17. Complete relevant internal training for self-development.
  18. Support the HOA in updating risk assessments and adjusting audit plans accordingly.
  19. Attend relevant meetings to stay updated on business matters and provide challenge on risks.
  20. Manage relationships with Product/Country clients to improve control environments.
  21. Communicate findings clearly and monitor overdue action plans for resolution.
