Experience: Minimum of 5+ years with a large IT organization

Technologies: IT solutions design for complex environments (e.g., enterprise storage, cloud-native solutions, data lake house, HPC, virtualization, etc.), with experience in Huawei, Dell EMC, IBM, VMware, H3C, Sangfor, HPE, Oracle, Veeam, and similar platforms

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field + relevant certifications (e.g., HCSA Presales Storage, VCAP, DCP)

Salary: Competitive package, based on relevant experience

Job Summary/Objective

As the Presales Systems & Storage Expert, you will collaborate closely with the sales team to design and propose advanced IT solutions, focusing on compute, storage, virtualization, and system integration to meet customer-specific needs. This role requires a solid technical foundation in IT hardware, including servers, storage, and operating systems, with a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design IT solutions covering compute and storage based on customer requirements.
  2. Leverage experience with industry-leading brands such as IBM, Dell EMC, Huawei, VMware, and Veeam.
  3. Utilize OEM portals and configurators to create tailored solutions; manage deal registrations and follow-ups.
  4. Work with sales to achieve targets.
  5. Provide solutions for client digitization initiatives.
  6. Assist in solution deployment and implementation.
  7. Maintain technical certifications and stay updated with industry standards.
  8. Prepare technical proposals aligned with client needs and OEM validation.
  9. Stay aware of competing brands and emerging technologies.
  10. Identify and deliver Proof of Concept opportunities.
  11. Negotiate pricing with OEMs.
  12. Communicate solutions effectively to stakeholders.
  13. Coordinate with customer accounts to support and ensure satisfaction.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of IT hardware, servers, storage, and operating systems.
  • Experience with brands like Dell EMC, IBM, VMware, H3C, Sangfor, Veeam, and familiarity with OEM tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a customer-focused approach.

Certifications

At least one relevant Pre-Sales Storage or Systems certification (e.g., VSP-DCV, DCS-IS, H3C Certified Pre-sales Engineer, VMCA) is required for pre-screening. Verifiable certificates during hiring will be preferred.

Preferred knowledge of Datacenter/Cloud Infrastructure standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, 20000, 9001, 22301, ITIL, NIST, COBIT, PCI DSS, CIS, IEEE standards.
