As our Compliance Manager, you will lead and enhance WhizPay.io's compliance framework across jurisdictions. You'll oversee regulatory adherence, design and implement AML/KYC strategies, and ensure compliance with global financial regulations, particularly in the US, crypto, and fintech spaces. This is a hands-on, impactful role within a remote-first, high-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure WhizPay.io's operations align with US banking, fintech, and crypto regulations, including VASP obligations and other applicable laws.
  • AML/KYC Leadership: Build and refine AML/KYC programs, policies, and procedures, leveraging best-in-class tools and frameworks.
  • Sanctions Screening: Implement and manage sanctions screening processes, integrating appropriate compliance technology stacks.
  • Risk Monitoring: Utilize crypto risk monitoring tools and frameworks to identify and mitigate potential compliance risks.
  • Collaboration: Partner with product, legal, and operations teams to embed compliance requirements into product design and business processes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with payment providers, crypto exchanges, and regulators as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of regulatory changes, emerging risks, and industry trends to future-proof WhizPay.io's compliance posture.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in compliance within fintech, crypto, or financial services.
  • Deep understanding of US banking and finance regulations.
  • Proven expertise in AML/KYC, sanctions screening, and compliance technology.
  • Experience with payment providers or crypto exchanges.
  • Familiarity with crypto risk monitoring tools and compliance frameworks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.

Nice to Have

  • CAMS or other AML certifications.
  • Experience navigating compliance in emerging markets.
  • Previous work with regulators or licensed financial institutions.
