The Manual QA Engineer at iCareManager (iCM) plays a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly software products. This role involves planning, designing, and executing manual test cases to validate software functionality, performance, and usability, while identifying bugs and inconsistencies early in the development lifecycle. The Manual QA Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to uphold iCM's commitment to excellence in healthcare software solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesTesting & Quality Assurance

Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand functional and non-functional requirements.

Develop and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Execute test cases manually across different platforms including web and mobile applications.

Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Log detailed bug reports and track issues through resolution, ensuring complete visibility for the team.

Ensure a zero critical-bug escape rate post-deployment by thoroughly validating new features and fixes.

Work closely with the development team to reproduce and debug issues, ensuring prompt resolution.

Participate in root cause analysis to identify patterns and implement process improvements.

Actively participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Communicate progress, blockers, and test outcomes clearly to relevant stakeholders.

Maintain open and responsive communication across teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Number of critical bugs reported post-release

Test case coverage for new features and regression scenarios

Timeliness and clarity in bug reporting and communication

Responsiveness to team collaboration and feedback

RequirementsRequired Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.

Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software testing lifecycle (STLC), and defect lifecycle.

Experience testing both web and mobile applications.

Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman.

Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality deliverables.

Preferred (Nice to Have)

Exposure to basic automation concepts or tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a plus.

Basic knowledge of SQL and one or more programming languages.

Experience with bug tracking tools like Jira or similar platforms.
