Position: IT Support Officer
We are looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent interpersonal skills for the technical support position. Technical support officers troubleshoot technical issues, provide timely customer feedback, and support the roll-out of new applications, among other duties.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to prevent downtime and ensure reliability.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, and data encryption protocols.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing IT-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades or enhancements to IT systems and infrastructure to improve efficiency and meet business needs.
- Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to implement IT projects and initiatives.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are advantageous.
- Proven experience of 1-2 years as an IT officer, or similar role.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and cybersecurity practices.
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, operating systems, and software applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong leadership and management abilities to lead a team and coordinate IT activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
