Job Title: Offshore Accounting Associate / Bookkeeper

Location: Remote (Pakistan)

Reporting To: Finance Manager – Toronto, Canada

Type: Full-Time | Remote Contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry and reconciliation
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly closings and year-end financial reporting
  • Support payroll preparation and employee expense tracking
  • Generate reports such as balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Ensure proper categorization of transactions in accounting software
  • Collaborate with the Toronto-based team through email, Zoom,Whatsapp,Asana, and Slack

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Stable internet connection and access to a dedicated work environment

Preferred

  • Experience working with Canadian or U.S.-based companies
  • Familiarity with U.S and Canadian financial practices, tax terms, and payroll systems
