
Sales Development Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) with experience in the technology sector, preferably in selling custom software solutions or SaaS products for Vertex IT Solutions. The SDR will be responsible for generating qualified leads, nurturing prospects, and creating opportunities for the sales team. This role requires strong communication skills, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to understand complex technical solutions.
Responsibilities- Research and identify potential clients within target markets, focusing on tech-driven businesses and industries requiring custom software solutions.
- Conduct outbound prospecting activities including cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Qualify leads through discovery calls to understand business needs, pain points, and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with account executives and sales managers to ensure smooth handover of qualified opportunities.
- Maintain an updated pipeline in CRM, tracking all interactions and progress.
- Work closely with the marketing team to align on campaigns, messaging, and lead generation strategies.
- Stay updated on technology trends, software development processes, and industry best practices to effectively communicate value propositions.
- Consistently meet and exceed KPIs for outreach, lead qualification, and opportunity creation.
- Represent the company in a professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression with prospects.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proven experience (1–3 years) as an SDR, BDR, or inside sales representative in a technology or software development company.
- Strong background in selling custom software solutions, SaaS products, or IT services.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho) and outreach tools (Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc.).
- Understanding of software development concepts, IT solutions, or digital transformation.
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
