About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned iOS Developer / Team Lead to spearhead the development of sophisticated and scalable mobile applications. This position demands a unique blend of technical expertise in iOS development and proven experience in team management, project execution, and system analysis.

You will be responsible for overseeing a team of developers, identifying and hiring talent, and delivering high-quality features and software solutions based on defined PRDs (Product Requirement Documents).

This is a hands-on leadership position that requires both coding and management acumen. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative, high-performance mobile applications to life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and grow a team of iOS developers to ensure project goals are met.
  • Talent Acquisition: Identify and hire qualified talent as needed.
  • System Analysis: Perform system analysis, resource allocation, and task planning.
  • Project Execution: Ensure timely execution and release of project milestones and application features.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders and management to clarify requirements and align on deliverables.
Technical Execution
  • Advanced Application Development: Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Complex Technical Requirements: Analyze complex technical requirements and architect appropriate solutions.
  • Application Performance: Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Coding Standards: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with an emphasis on reusability.
  • Image/Video Processing: Work on tasks involving image/video processing and optimization using native iOS libraries.
Quality & Optimization
  • Bottleneck Identification: Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
  • Code Quality: Maintain high standards of code quality and apply modern best practices.
  • Design Principles: Ensure applications conform to Apple's design principles and interface guidelines.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • iOS Experience: 6+ years of experience in iOS application development.
  • Team Management: Proven team management experience (mandatory for Team Lead position).
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Native Libraries: Experience working with native image and video processing libraries, including but not limited to:
  • OpenCV, Metal, CoreML, CoreImage, Core Video, AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, Vision: Understanding of video and audio codecs (e.g., MP4, H.264, AVC, HEVC, AV1, AAC) is a plus.
  • Performance Optimization: Experience optimizing performance, battery usage, and memory management in mobile apps.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience as a lead developer in a startup or agile environment.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for iOS.
  • Published Apps: Published one or more iOS apps in the App Store.
