Business Development Manager (Solar Projects)

Innovative Solar Solutions Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager focused on solar projects to drive growth in the commercial and industrial solar sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Generation & Opportunity Identification: Proactively find new business opportunities within the commercial and industrial solar sectors through market analysis, networking, and direct outreach.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key decision-makers, clients, and partners, ensuring satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
  • Proposal Development: Develop and deliver compelling project proposals, including technical presentations and customized solutions, that highlight value-driven benefits for clients.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for contracts and commercial terms to secure new projects and close deals successfully.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue targets, sales forecasts, and market share objectives.
  • Market & Policy Monitoring: Stay updated on renewable energy market trends, competitor activities, government policies, and new technologies to identify new market segments and stay competitive.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, project management, and internal teams to ensure project feasibility, compliance, and seamless service delivery.
  • Feasibility & Business Planning: Conduct feasibility studies and develop business plans for new projects and solutions, assessing market potential and project viability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation, closing, and persuasion skills to drive business growth.
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand and translate complex solar solutions into client value.
  • Market Knowledge: Familiarity with solar project development processes, market trends, and relevant government policies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with clients and internal teams.
  • Goal-Oriented: A driven, self-motivated individual with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
