We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Hosting and Linux Administrator Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing our web hosting infrastructure, ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our web applications and websites. This role involves working with a variety of Linux-based systems, web servers, and hosting technologies.

Responsibilities:

Server Administration:

Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.).

Perform routine system maintenance tasks such as updates, patches, and backups.

Monitor server performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

Implement security measures to protect servers and data.

Web Hosting Management: WHMCS

Set up and configure web hosting environments using technologies like Apache, Nginx, or other web servers.

Manage domain registrations, DNS records, SSL certificates, and email services.

Collaborate with developers to deploy web applications and ensure their smooth operation.

Performance Optimization:

Optimize server and website performance for speed and efficiency.

Identify and resolve bottlenecks, slow loading times, and other performance issues.

Security:

Implement security best practices to protect against cyber threats.

Monitor server logs for suspicious activities and respond to security incidents.

Backup and Recovery:

Set up and maintain automated backup systems.

Develop and test disaster recovery plans.

Job Specification

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience as a Linux Administrator and Web Hosting Expert.

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.

Proficiency with web server technologies such as Apache and Nginx.

Familiarity with virtualization and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Strong understanding of security best practices.

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux Professional Institute Certification) are a plus.
