The Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS) is the leading unit of its type in Pakistan, recognized regionally and internationally for the relevance, quality, and extent of its work in support of public health and the development of primary health care systems. It comprises of five major operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.

This is a grant-funded contractual position.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• preparation and compilation of study progress reports under the overall supervision of the site manager
• implementing the delivery of immunization-primary care services with private providers, ensuring adherence to service packages and quality standards
• facilitating and training private providers for reporting immunization volume and activities
• developing and maintaining liaison with government, local stakeholders, and private providers
• building strategic relationships with National and Provincial Authorities for approvals and support
• developing Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs), training, and procedures to standardize practices across all field sites
• conducting technical liaison with consulting firms or sub-contractors as required
• functioning as a central unit for all research activities, facilitating the enhancement of the department's research portfolio
• contributing to the development and communication of knowledge products for policy stakeholders, practitioners, and community stakeholders

Requirements You should have:

• A Master's degree in business administration, public health or equivalent from a well reputed and HEC recognized University/Institution
• at least eight years of relevant research work experience in project management for health service delivery projects and immunization services / primary care service delivery
• knowledge of health system and outreach programs (Experience of Expanded Programme on Immunization) will be preferred
• ability to take complex decisions for which there are no set procedures and also lead trouble shooting where required
• ability to work across multiple research assignments simultaneously and lead a team of professionals
• good academic writing skills
• proficiency in the use of related computer software packages
• ability to build and promote partnerships across the organization and beyond
• good interpersonal skills and commitment to learning, growth, and self-development
• ability to meet deadlines and handle diverse tasks simultaneously using prioritization and delegation
