Job Description

METRO opened its first cash & carry wholesale center in Pakistan in 2007 & expanded to 5 wholesale centers in a short span of 18 months. In July 2012, METRO and Makro-Habib combined their wholesale businesses in Pakistan, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership to mutual benefit. The merger allowed METRO and Makro-Habib to combine resources, gain financial strength, and lead growth in a challenging environment, generating value for customers and suppliers. Today, the company operates 10 wholesale centers in Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited is part of METRO GROUP's sales division, METRO Cash & Carry, a global leader in self-service wholesale. The company operates over 750 stores across 25 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, with a workforce of over 107,000 employees. In 2016/17, sales were approximately 37 billion Euro.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Commercial KPIs (Sales, Margin, Supply Chain, etc.)
  • Sourcing excellence and supplier development for the category
  • Managing the supply chain to ensure 100% shelf availability, considering seasonal factors and market shifts
  • Conducting market surveys regularly to monitor competitors and respond promptly
  • Collaborating with the Sales Team for B2B customer development
  • In-store merchandising in partnership with the Merchandising Team & Store Operations
  • Managing promotions from planning to execution and post-promotion analysis
  • Ensuring compliance with tendering & negotiations SOPs specific to the category
  • Maintaining records of audits, tenders, negotiations, and supplier documentation
  • Initiating new projects for beauty & personal care categories to drive growth
  • Ensuring timely recovery of NPS customers
Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration from an HEC-recognized institution.

Additional Information

Experience: 2-4 years of relevant experience.
